1. Auction anything with a perfect inherent mod, i.e. 15^50, 15/always, etc. But keep in mind that 15 isn't the magical number and nobody needs a 15 while enchanted flatbow. Be reasonable

2. Salvage anything with a perfect salvageable mod, or close to perfect that might hold some value: 29HP sword pommel is tradeable, so is 19% staff wrap of enchanting, but a 19% bow grip of enchanting and 29HP hammer mod are merchant material.

3. Merch the rest.

Has it occured to you that maybe your S/O prices are too high (both ingame and on GWG auctions)? 95% of the auctions I see ending with 0 bids are asking for ridiculous starting offers.

[QUOTE] Actually, that bow is perfect for Vig Spirit Barragers, JI Barragers and Conjure Flame Barragers.

I usually show my golds to guildies and sell em for 5k or something.

Hmmm.... I like to hold races to our Guild Hall in Alliance chat. I'll drop a message like 'Free X type weapon to the first X type class character to appear in our Guild Hall' Heck, I even give away unwanted Stonereapers and other extra Greens.

That's what I was thinking. I have done a bit of that in the past.

Or you can sell them for really cheap. If you try and sell stuff that's cheap (highlight the price in your message) then selling isn't as painful.

I give the golds I don't or won't use to my guildies and allies and they've returned the favor. (As you sew, so shall you reap)

Whatever - they are taking up all of my inventory space. That and all the Greens I have leftover from SF. Anyone else have a suggestion for this? I have 6 chars (one of them is a mule), and all of them are out of room.
Merchant is your best friend, bro

Perfect items still sell, but it's becoming increasingly difficult to sell non-perfect items. For those kinds of items, it's actually better to sell them to the merchant than spending an hour shouting in Drok's or LA to squeeze out a few k.

He - thanks for all the replies. I think I will hold some kind of clearance sale or something. I will also be giving away some - better than getting a couple hundred gold from the merchant - hopefully someone can use them. I know I would have killed for some of these when I was starting out...

I see how others do it, sales and such, but I am too lazy for that, I just merched all my unwanted golds and other items, if it was ag nice skin I might have kept it, but most of mine were basic skined golds, only worth the money they represent, not to mention some pericus items are worth more then gold ones.

Unless you're pressed for gold or for space, if you don't want the hassle of selling them, wait for the auction hall feature to get implemented. I have only a few real good, but not near perfect golds that I think I someone would buy, but I don't really want to be bothered selling them, so I'm waiting for now (and possibly a long time).

Give them out for free? I wouldn't mind getting some to help out my characters.

I've done the free giveaway thing, too. With a twist.

I did a "Name that Mini-pet" game in Ascalon City or Shing Jea. Simply stated, the first person to guess which mini-pet I had in my inventory would win a weapon that went with their profession. Switch towns and/or character and repeat!

If you are bored and have nothing else to do, help noobs in Ascalon Missions and if you think someone really needs it and will use it give it to them.

Frankly, unless I know I can realistically get 10-15K on an item within, say, a half hour then I'll keep it and sell it in town. Otherwise, I'll just either unload it for 1-2K or merchant it. It may seem odd to eat a 10K loss on an item, but it boils down to time and whether spending my time selling an item is going to be more cost-beneficial or whether I should just merchant (or sell it waay underpriced) and use that time to farm. If I can farm 20K an hour, and spend an hour to sell a 10K item... I haven't made 10K, I've actually lost 10K.

Usually, what I'll do is go into town when I'm sick of farming and just unload all the crap I've picked up at prices well under what the items are worth. This ensures I get it out of my inventory quickly.
